We met our original goal of $20,000 to meet our general operating budget needs, and earned an additional $7,000 to go toward the Tournament of Roses expenses!  Well Done Dragon Band Families!

One quick notice - Remember - we have our next Booster Club Meeting is November 11 at 7:30 in the Band Hall.  Hope to see everyone there.  (For this month only, the Executive Board meeting will be held Monday instead of immediately preceding the General Meeting - allowing time to get a bit of a board workshop underway. - This change of meeting date generally impacts ONLY the board... however, if you have any issues that need to be addressed by the board... please notify rrbbpresident@gmail.com by Friday in order to get that item on the agenda.)

And now, we shift our focus.

First - Congratulations to the Dragon Football Team!  District Champs!  We have our final regular season game this Friday night against McNeil - and will play at Reeves.  The band will play for the Dragonettes on the field, and play in the stands, but there will be no Arabian Nights performance by the full band.

Tradition has it that the night before Lonestar Drumline Competition, the drumline takes over the half-time performance.  We can all get a glimpse of the show they will perform in the competition the following day in Flower Mound, Texas!  Good Luck Rock Drums!

In a break with tradition - this year - we will keep our show alive throughout the playoff season... the band will continue to perform Arabian Nights at each playoff game!  If all goes well with the football team, the band will continue to march this show through Thanksgiving - and beyond!

Playoff season is a "play it by ear" type schedule.  Each week's time/date/location is determined after all the playoff games for that weekend are completed.  Flexibility is the key!

Concessions will continue throughout the playoff season - whether we move on - or not... and more details will be released as they come available.  Please note that volunteer spots will be be released sometimes as late as Monday night - that will need to be filled by Thursday or Friday night.  Everyone is encouraged to answer the call as these games and volunteer needs come up.

Pasadena Trip Payments -

FYI... The Round Rock Band Boosters have sent two checks to Music Travel to offset a portion of the expenses of the Pasadena trip for all of our band students.... the first check in the amount of $34,573.30 cleared the bank today.  We are sending the remainder of the trip earnings tomorrow - in the amount of $7,018.45.  That's a total of $41,591.75 earned toward our trip.  Once the final funds are received by Music Travel, they will assign these funds to the cost of the trip - reducing the cost for each and every student!  Thanks to everyone who helped!

Additionally, the funds for the mattress sale bonus have been forwarded to the school district, but to date, have not been applied to the individual accounts.  Please hold tight while we anticipate those funds being posted any day.
