THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 18 - time to turn in any money you have collected!  RAIN OR SHINE!

Please come by the school tonight to turn in your raffle ticket money and stubs collected to date.

Raffle ticket sales are going well, but we are really relying on our Dragon Band families to sell and turn in their 10 tickets!  This will help us reach our goal of all 3500 sold!  To this point, we have sold (or had money turned in for) a little over 650 tickets…only half way to covering our costs.  It’s extremely important to sales and this year’s budget numbers to get these tickets sold!  Thanks to those families who have sold and turned in their 10 tickets and money, and to those who have sold extra books as well!!  We appreciate your time and efforts.  We really couldn’t do what we do without you!

This is the week to turn in money and tickets you will not be able to sell.    There will be two times this week to turn in your ticket stubs and money.  Also, this is the week to turn in any tickets you will NOT be able to sell.  If you still have tickets that you think you CAN sell, hold on to those and just let me know…I’m happy to wait on these. Final turn in of all SOLD tickets will be the last week of October, so you should have plenty of time to sell those remaining few.

Tuesday, September 16th at 8:00am in the Band Hall.  Students may bring tickets in at this time.  Please have money and small ticket stubs in a sealed envelope for them to drop off.  I will be in the band hall that morning with a box…they should leave them with me and not the directors so that they don’t get lost in the shuffle.

Thursday, September 18th at 6:30pm under the trees at the picnic tables.

Please use the times this week to turn in everything you have sold up to this point.  We need to know our sold numbers to plan for the coming weeks and sale times.

Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.  We appreciate your help and support to make this a successful event!

We will need 2-3 people for each home game (and possibly Festival of Bands Night)  to volunteer to drive to Nyle Maxwell near 183 and 620 to pick up the two cars that will be raffled at our Homecoming Game.   (Requirements and liability will be the same for any test drive at a car dealership - they will require a copy of your driver's license and insurance card.) The cars should be picked up at Nyle Maxwell Friday afternoon- 4:30-5:00 (ish) and can be returned to Nyle Maxwell Saturday morning.  We have a volunteer to store the cars at his home over night.

If you are interested in helping out - please contact 512-779-3522 and we can get you the details...

This week's game day meal will be provided by Schlotzky's.  Cost is $7.00 each (includes sandwich/wrap/orpizza, cookie, chips and water).  Orders must be turned in the band hall no later than 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.  Click here to download form.

Our props team has been busy working on the front and back props for the Arabian Nights show... all things are "almost" set - just waiting for the artwork to come in and then.... "showtime!"

Once we have them ready, we are going to need a crew to help assemble the props each home game and competition event.  Home games simply requires assembly.  Away games will require loading on trucks, unloading, assembly, reloading on trucks and putting them away at the end of the night.

This is a great team and all are welcome to join in.  The signup just went "Live" this morning... be the first to fill your spot!  Here's the link  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4dabaf28a13-201416

SHOW SHIRTS, YARD SIGNS AND DECALS:   If you still have items you ordered at Everything Day and have not yet picked them up...  Friday September 19 is the last day!  (Deadline extended due to the rain delay last week.)  Chris and Lori will bring all those orders to the Stony Point football game.  PLEASE!!! If you haven't picked up your order yet... stop by and get them Friday night!   DEADLINE FOR YARD SIGNS AND CAR DECALS is Friday.  This is your last chance to place orders this year.   And don't forget to stop by our Spirit Sales tables for cups, sunglasses, shirts, umbrellas, scarves and so much more!

A note from Mr. Mobley re:  senior night:

Hello Dragon Band Senior People,

Don't forget that this Friday, September 19th is the Dragon Band senior presentation prior to the game.  The game begins at 7:00pm.  We'll begin the senior presentation at 6:00pm in order to be complete in plenty of time for the game to begin.

Parents, please be in the stadium on the track by 5:55pm.  The band will march over shortly prior to 6pm and seniors will step out of formation before moving into the stands.

Seniors, you must fill out your presentation form by Wednesday, 4:15pm.  They are available by my office door.  Forms need to be placed alphabetically in the binder after completion and your name checked off when you've turned it in.

Letter jackets will be lined up alphabetically by last name across the track in front of the band seating section.  Parents, go to your student's spot and stand behind the jacket.

If your senior did not get a jacket, for whatever reason, they are still due for recognition-please plan on attending regardless!

Thank you very much and see you Friday,

David Mobley
