Congratulations to the Dragon Band for their INSPIRING performance at the 2016 Tournament of Roses Parade!!

Happy New Year!

So THAT was an amazing adventure!  What an honor for our kids to be able to represent the school, the district, the city and the state in such an exciting environment.  And... what a great job they have done!  

Thank you to our directors, chaperons and truck drivers who made this whole thing possible!  Trucks are unloaded and back home at Penske, and everything is back in place in the band hall... back to normal... but with a somewhat "rosier" perspective!

 TOR Shirts – Final Order!

Due to popular request, we are going to place one LAST order for Tournament of Roses T-Shirts.  (due to copyright issues - we are limiting the number of reprints - and this is IT!)   Lori will accept orders for one final reprint until Thursday January 8 -  11:59 p.m. After that - there will be no additional shirts printed, and no extra shirts are being ordered.    

To place an order, you must contact Lori Conerly before midnight Thursday, January 8 at lorilconerly@yahoo.com.  Lori will respond with a confirmation of your order and make arrangements for payment.    

Short sleeved shirts are $15 - Long Sleeve - $18. (due to the time restrictions – no online orders are being taken – you must contact Lori with your orders.)

Pennants 

An additional item we have available is the traditional  souvenir pennant  with our Dragon Band Tournament of Roses logo.  $6.00.  Again, contact Lori with your order.  

VIDEO

We have extended the deadline for TOR Video orders as well.  If you want to place an order for the Tournament of Roses/Bandfest Souvenir Video, CLICK HERE  - Our final order deadline will be January 23.  You can return your order forms to the box in the band hall.  Online Ordering for Videos is available!  If you’d like to place your VIDEO order and pay onlinehere's the link. (Please note - for online orders - in the "notes to seller" section, please include your student's name, parent's email and cell phone so we can deliver your order when it arrives!)  (online sales will be charged the online processing fee - .75 for the first video and .60 for each additional one.)

Round Rock Band Boosters has contracted with GOAL Productions to produce a video of our band’s performance at the 2015 Band Fest and Tournament of Roses Parade.   The video will include all TV coverage from the networks that will cover our band’s performance at the parade, including a high camera video of the band’s performance on TV corner without any station logos or announcers’ commentary, and our band’s Bandfest performance with some atmosphere video of the kids before and after as well.  Cost is $25 for your first copy and $20 for each additional copy you order.  (The online processing fee will be added to online orders.)  (Selling by pre-order only!)

ROSE BOWL PHOTO

To the best of our understanding, no students will be receiving the Rose Bowl Photo.  However, everyone who purchased a fan package (not individual ticket sales - but one of the other fan packages available through MTC), will be receiving a copy of the band photo taken at the Rose Bowl.  (If you are going to receive multiple copies of the photo - you may want to offer to sell them to a friend who did not purchase the fan pack - let them avoid the shipping charge :) )  In addition to the group photo, there are some great shots from BandFest and some really great individual shots as well.

If you missed out on the Disney group photo - there is a way to still get the group photo that was taken in front of the castle. If you visitwww.disneyphotopass.com and type in this number when it asks you for the code, you will be able to view the picture and have the opportunity to purchase it then.

Milestone Products has put the 2015 TOR pins and products back up on their site.  Dragon pins are available once again Here's the link.   


GUARD GALA

Two weeks till the annual Guard Gala on January 17, 2015.  Dinner, silent auction and show preview are a few of the highlights for the evening.  Tickets are available from any of the guard girls -  $10 in advance or $15 at the door.  This annual event is always a good time!  Don't miss out!  If you have questions, contact Leigh Hilliard  lmhilliard@yahoo.com 

GOLF TOURNAMENT

Golf Tournament Our big fundraiser for the spring season in the Annual Golf Tournament.  The committee is forming now.  We will begin working on securing sponsorships and  group sales.      Please contact James Caldera jamesintx@gmail.com to learn how you can help!


COMMITTEES FORMING FOR 2015-16 SCHOOL YEAR

By-Laws: 

The By-Laws committee is currently underway.  Based on some of the proposed changes, we need to solidify the by-laws before we begin our nominating committee process.  Want to know about the possible changes?  Come to the booster meeting January 13 and learn more!  

Nominating Committee 

We should have our nominating committee ready for sign up within the next few weeks, and they will begin working on locating volunteers for next year's booster board in February.  Now is the time to begin considering if you are willing to make the commitment to serve the band in as officer or chairperson.  More information will be coming soon.  If you have questions about serving on the booster board, please feel free to speak to any of the booster board members  Here's a link to the current booster board members.

Financial Procedures 

It's time to review and update the financial procedures for the boosters. Regina Bohmfalk, our treasurer,  and Gary Collier, our Finance Manager, will be heading the committee.  Spots will open up on the signup soon.  

Scholarship Committees Band Camp and Senior scholarships will be posted soon - and a committee to help process those applications will be forming.  Cheri Weaver will be chairing those committees.
