March 24-March 31, 2015

Hey Band Families!

Welcome back!  We hope you had a terrific spring break... either resting around the house, or traveling the globe, or taking in some of the home-town entertainment.

While most of us were resting up, several of our students were out there representing The Dragon Band in their world class style!  The Varsity Winter Guard participated in the Denton WGI Southwestern Championship,  and had a beautiful performance which earned them a ranking of 7th in the country.  They will be heading to Dayton in just a few short weeks for the WGI World Championships.   If you'd like to catch their performance, here's the link  https://youtu.be/N99RMtgQkto     JV has a competition this upcoming weekend, TCGC Championships at Hendrickson High School.  You can  come by the Field House this Friday night at 6:30 to see the preview of their show!  All are welcome to come cheer on our JV girls!

And, our indoor percussion had an excellent performance over the break as well.   They came in first in their class at the Eastview High  School TCGC competition. Here's the link to view the show - https://youtu.be/7xgi20No6kw .  You can catch Rock Drums at the state championshipthis Saturday - TAMU - Reed Arena - College Station.

Preview of the Indoor Show will be Thursday night, 8:45 p.m.!  You won't want to miss it!
