Hey Band Families!!!
This is a fun and busy week for The Dragon Band!
Movement Camp Social
Monday, May 18 is our Movement Camp Social! (4:30-6:30 in the courtyard between the band hall and the 1100 Building). All parents - old and new - are invited to attend this casual social event. Bring a lawn chair, and snack to share - drinks will be provided. Its a great opportunity to welcome our new parents to the family, answer any questions they have, and share some great stories... Veteran parents, if you can, wear a Dragon Band shirt if you have one... It would be fun if everyone wore the show shirt from their student's freshman year -
If you are short on Spirit Wear - don't despair - Renee will be there with her team and a fresh stock of Dragon Band gear! (If you have not picked up your Tournament of Roses shirts or pennants, please come by and get them from Renee Monday night!)
Final Band Concert of the Year
Friday, May 22 is the final band concert of the year - at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center. 7:00 p.m. The students will perform, and there will be a special presentation of The Sudler Shield by W. Dale Warren, chairman of The Sousa Foundation. A very special event! We hope to see everyone there.

GO FUND ME ACCOUNT FOR MR. ALVARADO'S FAMILY
As some of you may have already heard, our lead custodian here at RRHS, Tony Alvarado is trying to raise money for his wife. His wife, Debra, recently suffered a stroke and passed a blood clot through her heart, which caused paralysis on the right side of her body. Funds are being raised to help defray the cost of rehabilitation. So far they have only raised $1,645 of their $8,000 goal. If you would like to help contribute, please do so by following this link.... http://www.gofundme.com/qdrns4
