Can I post my video of the show to social media?

The JV shows may be posted to social media, but Mr. Mobley asks that we please refrain from posting any video of the Varsity show during contest season.  After the season is over, videos of the Varsity show will be posted to www.dragonbandboosters.com.

Will hard copies be provided of the Game Day Meal forms?

Yes.  Hard copies of these forms can be located in the band hall.  There will be a folder with copies next to the box to turn in your payment, right outside of Mr. Scott’s office.  The deadline for these forms will be Wednesday at 12:30pm each week.

Is there a place where I can find ALL band related dates…rehearsals, games, competitions, concerts, etc.?

Yes!!  The directors keep an updated Google Calendar on the home page of the band’s website – www.dragonband.com.  Here you can find the schedule for both JV and Varsity band, and during concert season, all 4 Concert Bands.  Google even gives you the option (once you open the calendar) to import the entire calendar into your own!

Can I bring younger siblings to help out in the concession stands during my volunteer shift?

Students under the age of 13 are not allowed in the concession stands.  This is a safety rule that BCOB (Band Concessions Operations Board) has established.  Students 13 and older may volunteer, with a parent also present and volunteering.  If your student is volunteering, be sure to bring their community service form (if they have one) to be signed by the stand manager or concessionaire.

How do we get a Dragon Band decal for our car?

These (and yard signs) are available for order through our Spirit Wear team.  Orders will not be taken after the Homecoming game.  Forms are available at all games and times for pick up of items ordered will be posted.

What’s the best place to park to beat the crowds on game day?

This depends on which crowds you want to beat.  Before the game, parking is available in any of the student parking lots by the stadium, the pool, and the 1200 building.  As long as you get there early, the crowds shouldn’t be too bad.  If you want to beat the crowd leaving the game (and especially if you have a Dragon Band kiddo to pick up at the band hall) you can park near the band hall or in the admin lot and walk to the stadium.  Traffic leaving the games, especially in the closest to the stadium parking lot, is horrible!  It could take a long time to get out of that lot.  Please be aware that at that time of night, trains pass through the 620/Chisholm Trail intersection…avoiding that area, if you can, will get you home faster as well.

What are the dates that Varsity will perform after the game?

These dates are: September 4th, October 23rd, and November 6th.

Will there be an opportunity for individual band pictures?

Yes.  Henry Huey has been taking these pictures for several years, usually in the December time frame.  Mr. Mobley will send home information about the days/times in his email as it gets closer to the time and a sign up will be posted in the band hall for those that would like their picture taken.  Payment and print orders go through Mr. Huey directly.
