Middle School Band Programs
The success of the Round Rock High School Dragon Band begins at the middle school level. We are extremely fortunate to have students from each of the following three highly-successful and accomplished middle schools within the Round Rock ISD, converge to make up our Dragon Band program:
Cedar Valley MIddle School Jaguar Band
The Cedar Valley MIddle School Jaguar Band is led by Director of Bands Jane Botkin, Assistant Director of Bands Pete Alvarado, and Assistant Director of Bands Logan Bonathan. The Jaguar Band was most recently tapped to perform "The Trombone King" in the Texas State Capitol rotunda.

Chisholm Trail MIddle School Cougar Band
The Chisholm Trail Middle School Fighting Cougar Band is led by Director of Bands Tracey Redus, Assistant Director Jared Adams, Assistant Director Ellen Blazek, and Percussion Director Steven Roeder. The Cougar Band was recently selected by the National Wind Band Honors Project as the 2014 Mark of Excellence National Winner. Congratulations to the Cougar Band!

Walsh Middle School Wildcat Band
The Walsh Middle School Wildcat Band is led by Director of Bands Russell Jones, Assistant Director of Bands Travis Barney, Assistant Director of Bands Jennifer Bergeron, and Percussion Instructor Carolyn Trowbridge. In its 7 year history, the WIldcat Band has grown to become one of the single largest middle school bands in the district with over 300 students. The band has achieved great success in UIL Performance and Sightreading competitions each year since its inception and continues to garner awards and recognition for its Jazz Band ensembles.
